More People Using the Internet than Watching Television

A study by Forrester Research Inc., reported by Dallas Morning News, shows that more people in America are spending more hours on the Internet than on television.

According to this study, adults ages 18 to 26 spend 12.2 hours a week surfing the Web, compared with 10.6 hours watching television.

This does not mean that Internet has completely won over television. When adults of all ages are considered, the study shows adults spend 12.6 hours a week watching TV and 7.4 hours using the Internet.

The report was based on a survey of almost 67,000 North American household.

This should be treated as good news by Filipino business owners. The cost of advertising through the Internet is much cheaper than through television. However, this also means that marketing through Internet has become much more competitive because more business are using it.
